iride highlights 2022
mary and jelle
2022 was a rehabilitative, progressional and educational year for Mary and Jelle. Jelle developed a severe respiratory infection in late 2021, and it took him almost 5 months to properly diagnose, receive treatment and recover from it. Starting in late April, he was ready to start regaining his fitness and continue his training.
Mary continued riding client horses, auditing clinics from Jeremy Steinberg, JJ Tate, and a secoond Janet Foy clinic in December at Copper Light Farm in Vero Beach, FL and re-auditing Sessions A and B of the USDF L Program.
The highlight of the year for the partnership was riding in the Janet Foy Clinic at Shannondale on July 23-24, 2022. Neither Jelle or Mary were in top level of fitness, but both survived and improved towards the high level of work that Janet asked for, and Janet provided valuable insight into preparation and execution of the flying changes.
