Mary McGuire Smith travels daily, giving regular dressage lessons within a 100-mile radius from Mentone, AL, where IRIDE is based. IRIDE also has a regulation sized dressage arena for those who wish to haul in, but it is generally easier to have Mary come to your barn! If you wish to haul in to IRIDE, the charge for a regular individual lesson is $75.00 US, and there is no additional fee for facility/arena usage. All work must be done out of your trailer, because there are no stalls/paddocks available. Please call to schedule in advance if you wish to haul in. Most students have Mary come to their facility, and the fee is $75.00 US plus a mileage fee which can be figured by multiplying the actual number of miles driven from IRIDE (on map at left) to your location and back, by $0.57. for instance, if your location is 1155 Lodge Dr., Guntersville, AL , that is 108 miles round-trip. 108x0.57= $61.56. The lesson is $75.00, plus the trip charge equals $136.56, and is the total cost of the lesson. If there is more than one lesson scheduled for the same location, consecutively, the trip charge may be split between the total number of riders. Lessons are booked and paid in advance, no refunds.
